Who we are

Online Casino Australia is an independent comparison and information site for Australian players. We review offshore online casinos that accept players from Australia, explain how their bonuses, payments and withdrawals actually work, and make it clear what Australian law says before anyone signs up.

We are not a casino. We do not take bets, hold deposits or process withdrawals, and we cannot open an account for you.

Who writes our reviews

Our reviews and guides are written by Michael Jones, a casino games analyst and brand reviewer who has been part of the team since 2025. Before moving into analysis, Michael worked as a dealer at WIN 333 in Calella, Spain, and dealt at poker tournaments across Europe, including the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) in Barcelona. Every article he writes for this site is published under his name.

What we check before a casino appears here

  • That it accepts Australian players — we open the site with an Australian IP address, read the operator’s restricted-countries clause and check whether registration offers Australia and AUD.
  • The first deposit offer as shown to Australians — amount, currency, wagering requirement and minimum deposit, read on the operator’s own pages, with the date we checked.
  • The licence the operator declares — and, where a public validator exists, whether it confirms it.
  • The ACMA blocked-websites list — we cross-check the brands we cover against the official list and say so when a brand’s domains appear on it.

The full process is on our How we review page.

The legal position, in plain words

Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, online casino services must not be offered or advertised to people in Australia, and no operator holds an Australian licence to offer them. The casinos discussed on this site are offshore operators. If something goes wrong with an offshore casino, there is no Australian regulator you can complain to. We say this on every page because it matters more than any bonus.

How the site is funded

Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you open an account through them, the operator may pay us a commission. That is how we pay for the research. It does not change the facts we publish — offers, terms and licence details are reported as the operator shows them, with the date we checked.

Corrections

Offers and terms change often. When we find that something we published is wrong or out of date, we correct it and note the date of the change on the page.
